The HML400 is fully manual. The caregiver raises and lowers the patient by pumping the hydraulic handle. Proper technique keeps transfers controlled and reduces strain.
Preparation Checklist

Clear the transfer path

Select and apply the correct sling

Position the adjustable U-base around the chair, bed, or wheelchair

Lock the rear casters

Explain each step to the patient
Standard Transfer Sequence

Open the U-base as needed and position it around the patient.

Lock the brakes.

Attach the sling to the 6-point cradle.
-
Pump the hydraulic handle smoothly to raise the patient (the handle rotates for use from either side).

Move carefully to the destination surface.

Slowly release the hydraulic valve to lower the patient in a controlled manner.

Remove the sling and unlock the brakes.
Pumping Tips
Use steady, controlled pumps. Avoid rapid or jerky motions. The rotating handle allows you to operate from the most comfortable side.
