Liquid error (sections/main-article line 112): invalid url input

The HML400 is fully manual. The caregiver raises and lowers the patient by pumping the hydraulic handle. Proper technique keeps transfers controlled and reduces strain.

Preparation Checklist

  • Clear the transfer path

  • Select and apply the correct sling

  • Position the adjustable U-base around the chair, bed, or wheelchair

  • Lock the rear casters

  • Explain each step to the patient

Standard Transfer Sequence

  1. Open the U-base as needed and position it around the patient.

  2. Lock the brakes.

  3. Attach the sling to the 6-point cradle.

  4. Pump the hydraulic handle smoothly to raise the patient (the handle rotates for use from either side).

  5. Move carefully to the destination surface.

  6. Slowly release the hydraulic valve to lower the patient in a controlled manner.

  7. Remove the sling and unlock the brakes.

Pumping Tips

Use steady, controlled pumps. Avoid rapid or jerky motions. The rotating handle allows you to operate from the most comfortable side.
