Loop bar or clip cradle
Loop slings
Six-point (or similar) loop spreader bars on Advance, Elara, HPL450, HPL500, HML400, HPL402, and most classic hydraulics. Straps go over the hooks. Standard loop sling safe working load on those families is typically 500 lb; classic U-slings on HML400 / HPL402 are rated to 600 lb.
Clip slings
Presence and Stature use a 4-point clip / Securi3 cradle. Comfort slings clip in; they will not stay on a loop bar. Comfort Amputee slings need the dedicated amputee spreader bar (HOY_AMPUTEE_SB). Elevate can take clip stand-aid slings only with a 0Y0488-type bar.

How we want you to measure
Hip / seat width. Widest point while seated, including any laterals or clothing bulk.
Trunk height. Seat to top of shoulder. If the person cannot hold their head, you need a head-support style.
Thigh length. For hammock and long-seat styles, a short thigh in a long sling bunches at the knee.
Toileting slings (Access / Comfort Access / commode openings) are not general-purpose slings and are not a floor-recovery sling.
Disposable slings are single-patient. Do not launder and reuse them as a cost shortcut.
Extension straps NA2650 add strap length. They do not change the size of the fabric.
Questions families actually ask
Can I use the sling that came with the last lift?
Only if the attachment matches. A loop Quickfit will not clip onto a Presence. Read the bar, then the sling label.
Two people, same weight, different size?
Yes. A short, wide trunk and a tall, narrow trunk at 180 lb often need different sizes. That is why the manufacturer prints “guideline only” on the official chart.
What if we are between two bands?
Size up, then confirm the leg straps are not cutting and the commode opening is not swallowing the person. Call us with the lift model before you order two SKUs “to try.”
