How to Use the Hoyer HPL402 Electric Lift Safely

The HPL402 combines an electric boom with a manual adjustable U-base. Following a consistent process keeps transfers smooth and controlled.

Preparation Checklist

  • Charge the battery

  • Clear the transfer path

  • Select and apply the correct sling

  • Position the U-base using the hand lever

  • Lock the rear casters

  • Explain each step to the patient

Standard Transfer Sequence

  1. Open the adjustable U-base and position it around the chair, bed, or wheelchair.

  2. Lock the brakes.

  3. Attach the sling to the cradle.

  4. Use the hand control to raise the patient smoothly.

  5. Move carefully to the destination surface.

  6. Lower the patient in a controlled manner.

  7. Remove the sling and unlock the brakes.

Reverse-Mounted Actuator Benefit
