The Stature’s vertical lifting path requires the same careful process as other full-body lifts, with extra attention to positioning because of its larger open base.
Preparation Checklist
-
Fully charge the batteries
-
Clear a wide path (the open base is larger than many home lifts)
-
Select the correct sling and cradle
-
Communicate each step to the patient
-
Lock the rear casters before lifting
Standard Transfer Steps
-
Position the open base around the chair, bed, or wheelchair.
-
Lock the brakes.
-
Apply and secure the sling.
-
Attach the sling to the chosen spreader bar.
-
Raise the patient slowly using the hand control.
-
Move carefully to the destination.
-
Lower the patient and remove the sling once secure.
-
Unlock the brakes and reposition the lift.
Floor Recovery & Higher Surfaces
The Stature can recover from the floor and reach higher surfaces thanks to its vertical range. For floor recoveries, a full-support sling such as the Hoyer Full Body Hammock Loop Style Sling is recommended.
