450 lb Safe Working Load
The Hoyer HPL450 has a safe working load of 450 lb / 204 kg.
The lift capacity does not automatically mean every sling, scale, cradle component, or accessory used with the lift is rated to 450 lb.
The complete transfer system is always limited by its lowest-rated component.
Powered or Manual Base Options
One of the HPL450's key advantages is that it is available with two different base configurations.
- HPL450-EL – powered electric leg adjustment
- HPL450-ML – foot-operated manual leg adjustment

Will the HPL450 Fit Under a Bed?

Measure from the floor to the lowest obstruction beneath the bed or furniture.
Bed motors, frame crossbars, storage structures, casters, and other hardware can reduce usable clearance even when the visible side frame appears high enough.
Powered Base vs Manual Base
Both HPL450 versions provide the same 450 lb safe working load.
The powered-base version is useful when the caregiver wants electric opening and closing of the lift legs.
The foot-operated version avoids the additional powered leg mechanism while retaining electric raising and lowering of the patient.
