Proper battery care, powered-base inspection, cleaning, and preventive maintenance help keep the Hoyer Stature ready for regular use. Joerns provides specific charging, Smart Monitor, inspection, and service instructions for the Stature that should be followed instead of relying on generic patient-lift maintenance advice. Hoyer Stature Battery System The Hoyer Stature is supplied with two rechargeable battery packs and an off-board charger. This setup allows one battery to remain available for the lift while the second battery is charging. Joerns recommends keeping the batteries fully charged whenever possible. How Long Does the Stature Battery Take to Charge? Joerns states that a full charge takes approximately four hours. Charging is automatic: Green light – mains power is on Yellow light – the battery is charging Yellow light off – the battery is fully charged Joerns recommends charging the battery immediately when the lift is first received. How to Charge the Hoyer Stature Remove the battery pack from the lift by releasing the retaining latch. Fit the battery pack securely onto the off-board charging unit.
